Spent the past hour on the phone with Verizon tech support, but it was worth it bc my Internet connection was dissolving into uselessness and I somehow got connected to the Canadian tech support instead of India (maybe bc I'd just spent a half hour culminating in a temper tantrum and a request for a supervisor before I was accidentally cut off?) and the lovely Ontarian (1) reset my modem; (2) got my Internet functional again; (3) explained all the issues; (4) cared enough to check all my settings and fuss that my connection was only 2 bars; (5) told me how to work the system to get a new modem; and (6) gave me the supersekrit direct phone number to get a Canadian again. WIN!

Also, my Internet connection is now so fast in comparison, it's clipped. And now I know the password for my connection. I win!
