Antimatter
Sep. 21st, 2007 08:28 amI woke at 5am creaky and sleepy, but
Clif Double Expresso Shot + 0.75 last week's long run + porn = AWESOME!!!
I've never felt so good from caffeine before. And it showed: 12.34mi in 130mins, bay-bee. Woohoo!!
Can you tell I just finished my run? I feel like I could leap buildings in a single bound!
Speaking of awesome, ( vanity )
I think the anti-gravy train is over though: I think my body has finally figured out that it can ask for more food. Despite a very nice dinner at Otto last night, I found myself needing more sugar on this morning's shorter run than last week's and in the shower, I had such an attack of hunger pangs, I couldn't remember how to cook frozen pasta. Seriously. 'course, this could just be a function of chipmunking time.
Oh, and one salt packet is too much for a glass of water. Just sayin'
While it's possible that after I get done with the marathon, like my sister I'll decide to never do THAT again, I think I've caught the running bug: now I understand why she thinks nothing of doing a 6-10mi run from a standstill. Personally, I'm looking forward to getting a 4mi hit of running 3x a week and not having to run when my hips and ankles hurt.
Edit: It's now 20mins since I posted and I've had half a bag of pasta and I think I'm going to pass out. d'oh!
